In the Beginning
Creative Merchandise was founded in 2002 by Jason Walker and Samantha Stoller. As a promotional products distributor himself, Jason was looking for ways to increase his sales when he got the idea to set up custom websites for every one of his clients. The key was that the websites would display the clients' logo on all the products. An online catalog of virtual samples would be created just for the client. So he contacted his best friend from high school, Samantha, to help turn the idea into a reality. Samantha, a geek at heart, specialized in building clean and sophisticated e-commerce websites for various industries so it was a perfect match from the start!
As a result of their initial efforts, Jason's business reached a sales volume he could no longer handle. That's when it dawned on them to take the show on the road and start providing the concept to other distributors. The rest as they say is "dot com history".
